EXCHANGES AND SHARING OF EXPERIENCES IN AGROECOLOGY


A mission led by the NGO Friends of the Earth-Togo, went on November 12 and 13, 2021 to the Agroecological and Rural Development Center (CADR) in Togo. Kumah-Konda. This mission was made up of those in charge of campaigns, community development and communication at Friends of the Earth-Togo, members of the global convergence for the struggle for land and water and members of the communities of Andokpomé and Donomadé .

 

This visit is part of the sharing and exchange of experiences between the structures and the communities with which the NGO Friends of the Earth-Togo collaborates in the field of environmental protection. re d’agroecology.

 

The first day was devoted to exchanging and sharing experiences in a theoretical way, while the second was much more practical and took place on the experimental CADR site.



Members of both communities saw their ability to reinforced by the technicians of the Center on the technique of exploitation of the land in their environment and the manufacture of various types of natural pesticides and organic fertilizers including Bokachi.




It must be said that the Bokachi is made; to based on biological organic materials such as cow dung, rice bran, water to taste. which sugar and yeast are added. The achievements of this training are in addition to the agroecological techniques and practices already available to us. members of host communities such as crop rotation and mulching.
